I’ve been fielding a noticeably higher volume of acute-specialty mandates this year — Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia consultants for private family appointments across the Kingdom. It’s worth being direct about why: these are the specialties where a household cannot afford a gap in coverage, and Gulf principals are responding by paying at the very top of the market to secure UK & European-trained, board-certified clinicians rather than compromise on acute-readiness standards.
“Emergency and anaesthesia mandates move fastest through my desk because the client cannot wait — when a candidate with the right board certification is ready, they are placed within weeks, not months.” — Vanessa, Senior International Healthcare Recruiter, Medical Staff Talent
The live mandates I’m currently running
On the emergency medicine side, I have a Senior Attending Emergency Physician mandate in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and a Consultant in Emergency Medicine post with a private family in Riyadh — both acute-readiness appointments commanding a dedicated private medical suite, provisioned through an unconstrained procurement pipeline. Further physician mandates in the region sit on our doctor jobs in the Eastern Province page.
Alongside these sits a Consultant in Anaesthesia & Intensive Care role for a private family in Jeddah, with access to next-generation robotic monitoring and surgical navigation platforms and direct coordination with international specialist networks.
What I’m screening candidates against
- Board certification appropriate to the specialty — CCT/CCST or an equivalent European Board for Emergency Medicine; FRCA via CCT/CCST or an equivalent European Board for Anaesthesia.
- Post-consultancy experience of at least seven years in leading UK & European teaching hospitals.
- For the private family posts specifically: proven history of operating under strict non-disclosure frameworks, and — for the Jeddah role — leadership capability to guide an interdisciplinary private nursing matrix.
- Current, unrestricted home registration; licensing with SCFHS or QCHP/DHP, depending on jurisdiction, remains with the clinician and the family’s own office and advisers.
- Availability to start within six weeks of offer, complete flexibility around the family’s calendar, and the ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.
| Mandate | Location | Package |

| Anaesthesia & Intensive Care, Private Family Estate | Jeddah | £290,000 – £390,000 |
Frequently asked questions
How fast do these move once I submit a profile?
Acute-specialty mandates like these typically move faster than our average process, precisely because the client cannot leave the seat unfilled. I brief every candidate individually and in confidence before any client detail is shared.
I’m handling all three of these mandates personally. If you hold the right board certification in Emergency Medicine or Anaesthesia, submit a confidential profile through the Candidate Portal and I’ll be in touch directly. — Vanessa, Senior International Healthcare Recruiter
