Medical Staff Talent

Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Consultant Interventional Cardiologist to a private family in Dubai, providing continuity cardiac care and long-term cardiovascular risk management for a Principal.

Interventional cardiology is now among the sharpest-priced specialisms on our Gulf desk — see our guide to Interventional Cardiology in Private Gulf Healthcare for the demand context behind this mandate.

The Mandate

  • Continuity cardiac diagnostics, intervention and long-term cardiovascular risk management for a single Principal.
  • Coordination with visiting specialists and the family’s wider medical infrastructure.
  • Direct procurement input over diagnostic and clinical equipment.
  • Absolute discretion under NDA.

Candidate Requirements

  • CCT/CCST in Cardiology with interventional sub-specialisation, or an equivalent European fellowship, from a Tier-1 UK or European institution.
  • Minimum eight years post-certification consultant-grade interventional practice.
  • Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments.
  • Fluent English.
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.

Package

  • £300,000 – £400,000 per annum, tax-free and liquid
  • Private accommodation within the residence and relocation arranged by the family
  • Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

Continuity cardiac care for a single Principal is a rare configuration for an interventional cardiologist, and it rewards a particular kind of clinician: one who is as engaged by long-term cardiovascular risk management as by the catheterisation laboratory. The consultant leads cardiac diagnostics, intervention when indicated, and the lifelong risk programme — lipids, blood pressure, rhythm, imaging surveillance — for the Principal, coordinating with visiting specialists and the family’s wider medical infrastructure and holding direct procurement input over diagnostic and clinical equipment. Eight years of consultant-grade interventional practice is the threshold. Dubai’s cardiac centres provide the procedural setting when needed; the household provides the continuity.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £300,000 – £400,000 per annum — is base remuneration, and it is paid tax-free: the UAE levies no personal income tax on employment earnings, so the number on the offer is the number that arrives.

Accommodation, transport and repatriation flights sit outside the base figure — we ask every physician to confirm how indemnity will be arranged, and to check the territory, the limits and the run-off cover before signing, and our note on malpractice insurance in the Gulf explains what to look for.

End-of-service gratuity accrues under local labour law for each completed year and is paid when the contract ends; our note on end-of-service gratuity and repatriation explains how it is calculated and what to check in the contract.

If you are leaving the UK part-way through a tax year, split-year treatment under the Statutory Residence Test usually applies; keep a day-count from the date you leave and take advice from an independent cross-border adviser; tax-free wealth preservation for Gulf clinicians sets out the planning points.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Dubai

Dubai needs little introduction: a global hub with direct flights to almost everywhere, a residential market that runs from Jumeirah and the Palm to the villa communities of Dubai Hills and Arabian Ranches, and a service culture built around people who arrive from abroad. Household appointments normally include accommodation provided by the family — private quarters within the residence — so the practical question is how you will spend your time off.

Winters are the reason people stay; summers are hot and lived indoors or on the water early in the day. London is around seven hours by direct flight. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone — and the cultural adjustment guide covers the adjustments worth anticipating.

How we run this search

Every appointment of this kind follows the same discipline. It begins with a confidential briefing call with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, covering your clinical profile, your motivations and your readiness to relocate alone; nothing is written down that you have not agreed to share. Your qualifications, registration and references are then verified before anyone else is involved.

The household or its family office is briefed anonymously. Your name and documents are shared only with your written authorisation, first-stage interviews are held by video, and a final meeting is arranged in person — usually with travel organised by the household. Offer, NDA and contract follow, agreed directly between you and the family. Our time-to-hire estimator shows how long each stage takes; the confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting pages explain how the household side is governed.
