Medical Director & Consultant in Internal Medicine — Private Family, Doha

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Consultant in Internal Medicine as Medical Director — clinical lead of the family’s private medical team — in Doha.

The successful physician commands total clinical authority over the household’s long-term preventative health strategy, directing a small clinical team and holding direct procurement input over the private medical infrastructure supporting the appointment.

The Mandate

• Clinical directorship of the household’s preventative and internal medicine strategy.
• Direct procurement input over diagnostic and clinical equipment.
• Oversight of a small clinical team and coordination with visiting specialists.
• Absolute discretion under NDA.

Candidate Requirements

• CCT/CCST in Internal Medicine, or an equivalent European fellowship, from a Tier-1 UK or European institution.
• Minimum ten years post-certification consultant-grade experience, including prior clinical leadership.
• Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
• Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
• The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

Medical Director is a leadership title here, not an honorific. The consultant commands the household’s long-term preventative health strategy, directs a small clinical team, holds procurement input over the private medical infrastructure and coordinates visiting specialists so that every strand of the family’s care is coherent. Internal medicine is the clinical core; ten years of consultant-grade experience including prior clinical leadership is the requirement because the physician will be setting standards, mentoring colleagues and advising principals and their offices with the authority of an institution behind them. Doha’s household selects for judgement, discretion and the composure to lead quietly within a household protocol.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £300,000 – £390,000 per annum — is base remuneration, and it is paid tax-free: Qatar levies no personal income tax on employment earnings, so the number on the offer is the number that arrives.
