Medical Staff Talent is appointing a Western-trained Lead Surgeon to the dual role of Chief Medical Officer at a cutting-edge private hospital group in Doha.

The post divides between strategic governance and active operating. The facility runs DaVinci Xi robotic surgical systems and Zeiss Kinevo 900 visualisation platforms, with procurement pipelines that are genuinely unconstrained.

The Mandate

• Dual appointment: Chief Medical Officer and Lead Surgeon, splitting governance and operative practice.
• Direction of a high-performance clinical department with unconstrained procurement.
• Complex robotic-assisted intervention on DaVinci Xi and Zeiss Kinevo 900 platforms.
• Leadership of international clinical trials and mentorship of specialised consultants.
• Authorship of the medical delivery framework for a discerning private patient base.

Candidate Requirements

• Tier-1 board certification — FRCS via CCT/CCST, American or Canadian Board, or equivalent European fellowship.
• Minimum seven years post-consultancy, including documented clinical leadership or director-level roles.
• Operative mastery in General, Orthopaedic or Urological surgery with verified robotic-assisted experience.
• Administrative acumen to manage cross-functional departments.
• International publications or clinical governance contributions are advantageous.

• £320,000 – £410,000 per annum, entirely tax-free and liquid, with zero local deductions.
