Medical Staff Talent is appointing a Western-trained Senior Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon to head the newly expanded open-heart and minimally invasive surgical suite of a flagship private cardiac hospital in Riyadh.

This is a leadership appointment, not a service post. The successful surgeon operates with complete clinical sovereignty, drives complex adult cardiac intervention, and establishes the treatment protocols the unit will run on. It is built for a surgical leader intent on constructing an international legacy inside the Kingdom’s highest-investment healthcare sector.

The Mandate

• Clinical leadership of the open-heart and minimally invasive cardiac surgical programme.
• Direct access to state-of-the-art hybrid operating theatre suites and an unconstrained material pipeline.
• Authority over operative protocol and procurement — no committee gatekeeping on device or technique selection.
• Complex adult cardiac caseload, with scope to pioneer techniques new to the region.
• Mentoring and interdisciplinary development of the wider surgical team.

Candidate Requirements

• Tier-1 Western certification in Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery — German Facharzt, UK CCT/CCST, American Board or equivalent.
• Minimum eight years post-licensure leading high-acuity surgical teams and complex operative caseloads.
• Active licence in good standing with the home country’s medical board.
• Eligibility for Saudi licensing (SCFHS).
• Native or fluent English, with demonstrated capacity for strategic clinical leadership.

• £330,000 – £370,000+ per annum, 100% tax-free liquid payout.
