Geriatric & Dementia Care Nurse Pair — Private Family, Doha

Medical Staff Talent is introducing two UK & European-trained Geriatric & Dementia Care Nurses to a private family in Doha. The family’s grandfather has dementia and Parkinson’s disease, and the family wants him cared for at home by two nurses.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two nurses alternate 8-hour shifts during the day and evening, with the night covered on call from within the residence. The rhythm follows the family rather than a rota: a six-day week, with availability at any hour when needed.

The Mandate

• Dementia and Parkinson’s nursing: routines, medication timing and mobility.
• Monitoring nutrition, hydration and skin.
• Working with the neurologist and family physician.
• Supporting family members and household staff.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with substantial experience in older-adult and dementia care.
• At least 7 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Experience in memory services or community care is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.
• Visas for international travel are arranged and paid for by the family.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
