UK and European trained physiotherapist and osteopath for private families in the Gulf

Private Physiotherapist & Osteopath Jobs in Abu Dhabi

One-to-one physiotherapy, neuro-rehabilitation and osteopathy appointments in Abu Dhabi for UK & European-trained clinicians, retained by private families.

Abu Dhabi builds rehabilitation properly, and staffs it privately

Rehabilitation demand in the Emirate has moved decisively into the private sphere: private family medical suites and residences with dedicated treatment rooms, advanced equipment and programmes built for complex individual cases rather than for volume.

For a physiotherapist, that is a different kind of post. The service is designed around one principal or one family, the caseload is small, and the clinical autonomy is real. The good appointments are the ones where the programme was designed by someone who does the work — and increasingly, that person is the clinician we introduce.

Where the Abu Dhabi demand sits

Complex neuro-rehabilitation. Post-stroke, spinal and neuro-degenerative cases for a single principal, with genuine time per session, inside a private residence or a family’s own medical suite. It is the specialism households most often struggle to find.

Post-surgical and longevity rehabilitation. Discreet rehabilitation suites attached to private family households, running to the family’s calendar rather than a clinic diary.

Elite athletic and performance work. A smaller, well-funded segment attached to private family principals, with the biomechanical analysis and return-to-play work that follows from it.

Osteopathy. Retained alongside the physiotherapist for chronic pain and structural work — see why osteopathy sits beside physiotherapy.

A private family appointment in Abu Dhabi that gives you a dedicated treatment room and a single patient in it is not a clinical post as you have known it.

How an Abu Dhabi appointment is structured

Full-Time Live-Out appointments with a treatment suite in the residence are the most common, followed by Live-In appointments during an intensive recovery, Fixed-Term contracts around surgery, and Sessional arrangements. All seven models are set out in Live-In, Rota or Travelling? The contract is signed directly between you and the family; we introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.

Licensing: the route we map with you

Physiotherapy in the Emirate is licensed by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH), after DataFlow primary source verification, with HCPC, CORU or equivalent European registration as the starting point. Osteopathy is licensed differently, and its title and scope can be narrower than in the UK; we map that for your case before any introduction.

A Dubai DHA licence does not carry across to Abu Dhabi — if you are weighing the two Emirates, decide before you start the file. We map this route with you and guide you through it; we do not submit applications, process DataFlow or sponsor visas. Establish your position with the GCC Licensing Classifier.

Questions physiotherapists ask about Abu Dhabi

Is neuro-rehabilitation experience essential?

Not for every appointment, but it is the experience households find hardest to source. Musculoskeletal, sports and post-surgical profiles are placed here too; each listing states what it needs.

Does my Dubai licence work in Abu Dhabi?

No. Abu Dhabi is licensed separately by the Department of Health. Decide which Emirate you are licensing for before you start the file.

Who employs me?

The family, or its licensed entity. You sign directly with them. We introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.
