Travelling Family Physician — Longevity-Focused Family Medicine, Abu Dhabi

A private family in Abu Dhabi has asked Medical Staff Talent to introduce a UK & European-trained Travelling Family Physician with a longevity focus. The adults of the family are active, health-literate and travel constantly; they want a GP who can lead a longevity programme without losing sight of ordinary medicine.

Travel with the family is frequent — European summers, the family yacht and trips arranged at short notice. The rhythm follows the family rather than a rota: a six-day week, with availability at any hour when needed.

The Mandate

• General practice for the family, including acute illness, minor injury and chronic disease review.
• Design and oversight of an evidence-based longevity programme for the adults, with clear measures of progress.
• Working with the household physiotherapist and trainer on recovery, mobility and injury prevention.
• Keeping care continuous across long trips, with planning before departure and review on return.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• CCT in General Practice or a European family medicine equivalent, with postgraduate interest in lifestyle, metabolic or preventive medicine.
• At least 10 years of independent practice in UK or European general practice or family medicine.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European medical regulator.
• Confidence discussing the limits of evidence with health-literate patients is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• £240,000 per annum gross, with accommodation and travel included.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
