Paediatric Physiotherapist — Private Family, Abu Dhabi

Medical Staff Talent is searching for a UK & European-trained Paediatric Physiotherapist for a private family based in Abu Dhabi. One of the family’s children has a developmental motor delay, and the parents want a physiotherapist who will work with the child every day.

Expect regular travel with the family, including summers in Europe and periods on the family yacht. As is usual for household appointments in the Gulf, the family expects availability around the clock and a six-day working week.

The Mandate

• Daily paediatric physiotherapy built around play, motor milestones and the child’s routine.
• Working with the child’s paediatrician, therapists and school on shared goals.
• Coaching parents and nannies to carry the programme through the day.
• Continuing the programme when the family travels, with portable equipment and plans.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• Physiotherapy degree from a UK or European institution, with substantial paediatric experience (developmental, orthopaedic or neurodisability).
• At least 6 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European regulator.
• Experience working alongside schools and other children’s therapists is valued.
• Fluent English and proven discretion in private settings.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• From £60,000 a year gross, depending on experience.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
