ICU Critical Care Nurse Pair — Home Care for a Private Family, Jeddah

Medical Staff Talent is searching for two UK & European-trained ICU Critical Care Nurses for a private family based in Jeddah. A family member with a neuromuscular condition requires long-term ventilation at home.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two permanent nurses alternate daily 12-hour shifts, so that one of them is always on duty. As is usual for household appointments in the Gulf, the family expects availability around the clock and a six-day working week.

The Mandate

• Long-term ventilation and airway care at home.
• Monitoring, medication and coordination with the intensivist and neurologist.
• Positioning, skin care and comfort.
• Supporting the family and household staff around the patient.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with adult intensive care experience, including ventilated patients.
• At least 7 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• ALS certification is valued.
• Fluent English and proven discretion in private settings.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
