Travelling Family Medicine Physician — Multigenerational Household, Abu Dhabi

Medical Staff Talent is searching for a UK & European-trained Travelling Family Medicine Physician for a private family based in Abu Dhabi. Grandparents, parents and grandchildren share a family compound, and the physician becomes the person every generation calls first.

Travel with the family is frequent — European summers, the family yacht and trips arranged at short notice. As is usual for household appointments in the Gulf, the family expects availability around the clock and a six-day working week.

The Mandate

• Continuity care for older family members, including diabetes, hypertension and frailty, alongside everyday medicine for the rest of the family.
• Clinical lead for the household nurses on medication safety, observations and escalation.
• Managing hospital admissions and discharges so that care at home picks up where the hospital left off.
• Accompanying the senior generation on travel and coordinating care for those who stay behind.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• CCT in General Practice or a European family medicine equivalent, with confident management of older adults and multimorbidity.
• At least 11 years of independent practice in UK or European general practice or family medicine.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European medical regulator.
• Experience leading a small nursing team is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• £240,000 per annum gross, with accommodation and travel included.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
