Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Physiotherapist — Post-Surgical Care, Al Khobar

Medical Staff Talent

Medical Staff Talent is searching for a UK & European-trained Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Physiotherapist for a private family based in Al Khobar, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The family wants a physiotherapist in residence after a family member’s spinal fusion, with general orthopaedic care for the household afterwards.

Expect regular travel with the family, including summers in Europe and periods on the family yacht. As is usual for household appointments in the Gulf, the family expects availability around the clock and a six-day working week.

The Mandate

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation following the surgeon’s protocol.
  • Gradual return to daily activity and travel.
  • Orthopaedic assessment and treatment for other family members.
  • Liaison with the surgeon and family physician.
  • Complete confidentiality, under a strict non-disclosure agreement.

Requirements

  • Physiotherapy degree from a UK or European institution, with substantial orthopaedic and post-surgical rehabilitation experience.
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European regulator.
  • Experience with post-operative protocols for joint replacement and ligament surgery is valued.
  • Fluent English and a calm, courteous manner.
  • Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
  • Willingness to relocate alone to a live-in, single-status appointment, and to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.
  • Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.

Package

  • £70,000–£110,000 per annum gross, depending on experience.
  • The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
  • Private accommodation in the residence, provided free.
  • Permanent role with annual leave, under a contract renewed yearly with the family.
  • The family arranges and pays for the visas needed for travel abroad.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

Confidential Application

The family’s identity is shared only once there is mutual interest. Our Physiotherapists page explains how we appoint physiotherapists; to be considered, send your CV through Send Us Your CV.
