Sports & Performance Physiotherapist — Biomechanics, Private Family, Doha

Medical Staff Talent is searching for a UK & European-trained Sports & Performance Physiotherapist for a private family based in Doha. Several family members play padel, golf and tennis competitively, and the family wants injuries prevented rather than treated after the fact.

Expect regular travel with the family, including summers in Europe and periods on the family yacht. As is usual for household appointments in the Gulf, the family expects availability around the clock and a six-day working week.

The Mandate

• Movement and biomechanical screening for active family members, with individual prevention plans.
• Treatment of sports injuries and return-to-play progressions.
• Working with the family’s coaches and trainer on load and recovery.
• Pitch-side or court-side support at events when the family travels.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• Physiotherapy degree from a UK or European institution, with sports or performance physiotherapy experience and confident use of movement analysis.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European regulator.
• Experience with force plates, video analysis or GPS load monitoring is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• From £60,000 a year gross, depending on experience.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
