Travelling Family Medicine Physician — Multigenerational Family, Al Khobar

Medical Staff Talent has been asked by a private family in Al Khobar, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, to introduce a UK & European-trained Travelling Family Medicine Physician. The patriarch and his wife live with their adult children and grandchildren, and the family wants one doctor for all of them rather than a list of separate specialists.

Travel with the family between residences and abroad: summers in Europe, time on the family’s yacht and short-notice trips.

The Mandate

• Continuity of care for older family members with long-term conditions, and everyday medicine for everyone else.
• Leading the household’s nursing team on medication, monitoring and escalation.
• Arranging and attending specialist reviews, and translating the results into a plan the family understands.
• Travelling with the senior members of the family, with responsibility for their medical needs en route.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• CCT in General Practice or a European family medicine equivalent, with confident management of older adults and multimorbidity.
• At least 10 years of independent practice in UK or European general practice or family medicine.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European medical regulator.
• Experience leading a small nursing team is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• £218,000 per annum gross, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid, and medical insurance covered (professional indemnity insurance is not included).
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
