Paediatric Physiotherapist — Private Family, Doha

Medical Staff Talent has been asked by a private family in Doha to introduce a UK & European-trained Paediatric Physiotherapist. A child in the family is recovering from orthopaedic surgery, and the family wants a dedicated paediatric physiotherapist for the year ahead.

The family travels often, including European summers and time on its yacht, and the treatment plan travels with it. Availability 24/7 and a six-day week are part of the appointment, as is usual with private families in the Gulf.

The Mandate

• Post-operative paediatric rehabilitation that keeps the child motivated and engaged.
• Liaison with the paediatric orthopaedic surgeon and the child’s school.
• A home programme taught to the parents and nannies.
• Travelling with the family during school holidays to keep progress going.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• Physiotherapy degree from a UK or European institution, with substantial paediatric experience (developmental, orthopaedic or neurodisability).
• At least 6 years of post-qualification clinical experience.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European regulator.
• Experience with developmental assessment tools is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• From £60,000 a year gross, depending on experience.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
