Senior Physiotherapist — Post-Operative & Longevity Rehabilitation, Private Family, Riyadh

Medical Staff Talent

Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a Senior UK & European-trained Physiotherapist to a private family in Riyadh, delivering post-operative recovery and longevity-focused rehabilitation from a dedicated private treatment suite.

The caseload spans complex post-surgical recovery for the principal and family members alongside ongoing performance and longevity protocols. Programme design is set clinically, without institutional protocol constraint, and sessions are strictly one-to-one.

The Mandate

  • Post-operative and post-surgical rehabilitation for the household’s principal and family members.
  • Design and delivery of longevity and performance-focused movement protocols alongside acute recovery work.
  • Sole clinical ownership of a private treatment suite equipped to the appointed clinician’s specification.
  • Close coordination with visiting consultants on staged recovery plans.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy from a Tier-1 UK or European institution, with registration through HCPC, CORU or an equivalent European regulator.
  • Minimum six years’ experience, including substantive post-surgical and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
  • Comfort designing longevity and performance protocols alongside clinical recovery work.
  • Demonstrated discretion in confidential family environments.
  • Fluent English.
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.

Package

  • £88,000 – £118,000 tax-free
  • Private furnished accommodation and relocation arranged by the family
  • Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

Complex post-surgical recovery for the household’s principal and family members, alongside ongoing performance and longevity protocols, delivered one-to-one from a private treatment suite equipped to your specification. The senior physiotherapist owns the suite and the programme: staged recovery plans agreed with visiting surgeons and consultants, orthopaedic rehabilitation progressed with precision, and movement protocols designed to protect function over decades. Six years including substantive post-surgical and orthopaedic rehabilitation is the threshold; comfort designing longevity work alongside clinical recovery is expected. The Riyadh household selects for clinical maturity, immaculate documentation and the discretion to work unobtrusively within a private family residence.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £88,000 – £118,000 per annum — is base remuneration, and it is paid tax-free: Saudi Arabia levies no personal income tax on employment earnings, so the number on the offer is the number that arrives.

Accommodation and flights are provided in addition to base, which is what makes the net position so different from a UK or European salary: with housing and travel carried by the household, most of the base figure is savings capacity. Health insurance in Gulf contracts explains the cover clauses worth reading twice.

End-of-service gratuity accrues under local labour law for each completed year and is paid when the contract ends; our note on end-of-service gratuity and repatriation explains how it is calculated and what to check in the contract.

If you are leaving the UK part-way through a tax year, split-year treatment under the Statutory Residence Test usually applies; keep a day-count from the date you leave and take advice from an independent cross-border adviser; tax-free wealth preservation for Gulf clinicians sets out the planning points.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Riyadh

Riyadh is the Kingdom’s capital and its administrative centre, and the city has changed at a pace that surprises clinicians who last visited a decade ago: new districts, a metro, an events calendar that runs through the winter, and a residential market that ranges from the Diplomatic Quarter to the established international compounds in the north of the city. Household appointments normally come with accommodation within the residence, provided by the family, so your decision is about days off rather than house-hunting.

Winters are mild and bright; summers are hot and lived indoors or early in the day. London is around seven hours by direct flight. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone. The cultural adjustment guide covers the unwritten rules.

How the search is run

We run this search as a full-cycle search under a retained, confidential mandate. The first conversation is with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, and it is a briefing rather than a screening: what the appointment involves day to day, what the household selects for, and whether it fits the life you want. Your CV goes nowhere until you say so.

If you proceed, your credentials are verified, the household is briefed on an anonymised profile, and interviews run by video before an in-person meeting arranged by the family. Offer, NDA and contract are agreed directly between you and the family. The time-to-hire estimator gives realistic timings for a physiotherapist appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side of the process.
