What a Riyadh appointment actually offers
Clinical autonomy without committee latency. A family’s private medical office answers to a principal, not to a committee, and is structurally flatter than any system our candidates leave. Decisions that take three sittings in a UK trust take one.
Influence over the household’s clinical suite. Several Riyadh appointments carry a genuine say in how the residence’s medical suite is equipped and run — a conversation few physicians in public systems have had in a decade.
Family medicine and longevity for a private family. Continuity care for a principal and the wider family, coordination of every specialist the family sees at home and abroad, and the discretion that comes with it. Where a specialist centre is needed, it is chosen around the family and the physician, not the other way round.

How a Riyadh appointment is structured
- Within the household’s licensed medical entity. Many private families practise through their own licensed entity, run by the family’s private medical office. The physician is licensed through it, often as Medical Director, and reports to the principal or the head of the household office. See The Family Medical Entity.
- As a non-resident travelling physician. You keep your UK or European registration, accompany or visit the family, and coordinate their care. You do not treat in the Kingdom; local treatment is delivered by SCFHS-licensed clinicians.
Riyadh is where we see Live-In or Residential appointments and Rotational rotas most often, because residence coverage has to be continuous. Licensing: the route we map with you
Every appointment in the Kingdom runs through the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), via the Mumaris Plus portal, with primary source verification through DataFlow.
- DataFlow primary source verification.

- Registration through the entity you will practise under, then visa and residency on the household’s side.
