Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent keeps a continuously open register of UK & European-trained physicians for Royal Households in Riyadh — the royal court’s health bureaux, royal protocol bureaux and sovereign estates — and for the UHNW families of the capital. It is a standing pipeline rather than a single advertised vacancy: as a bureau or family office confirms a mandate, the consultants on this register whose specialty matches are contacted directly and confidentially.
Who We Place You With
- Royal Households — royal health bureaux, royal protocol bureaux and private estate clinics — the largest concentration of sovereign medicine in the Gulf
- UHNW Families — Riyadh’s leading business families, increasingly building family-office medical teams of their own
The Riyadh Market for Consultant Physicians
Riyadh is where our physician desk is deepest: eight consultant mandates currently open, from interventional cardiology to a Royal Health Bureau and emergency medicine to a Royal Protocol Bureau, through family medicine and longevity, internal medicine and critical care, endocrinology, dermatology and paediatrics. Two patterns dominate: the retained sub-specialist who holds sole clinical charge of one Principal’s condition, and the family-medicine or longevity physician who becomes the household’s medical constant. Vision 2030 has re-priced senior clinical talent in the capital, and Royal Households now compete with the new private hospitals for the same UK-trained consultants — which is why the packages have moved. Our 2026 guide to what Saudi Royal Households actually pay consultants is the reference.

Credential Standard
Every physician on this register holds a UK CCT or CESR with GMC specialist registration, or a European specialist title recognised at consultant level, together with current registration in good standing and a practice history that survives primary source verification — the specialist register is the credential Gulf households check first. Concierge and family-medicine physicians are expected to bring longevity and preventative practice; sub-specialists are expected to bring the case volume that justifies a household’s investment. DataFlow verification is completed before a profile is presented. Full detail is on our Candidates page.
Licensing in Riyadh (SCFHS)
Saudi physicians are classified and registered by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) through Mumaris Plus. Classification comes first: a UK CCT with GMC specialist registration or a European specialist title is classified at consultant level, which carries exemption from the Prometric assessment; DataFlow primary source verification, a good-standing certificate and the household’s sponsorship then convert classification into a professional licence and an Iqama. Royal health bureaux operate as licensed facilities, so the question of practising inside the estate is already answered. Our SCFHS Mumaris Plus guide and our seven quiet checks before a UK consultant leaves the NHS for Riyadh are the two reads that matter. Our Gulf Healthcare Licensing Support service walks you through the file stage by stage.
Typical Package
- £260,000–£420,000 tax-free per annum on current Riyadh mandates — the highest band on our Gulf desk; interventional cardiology and royal bureau appointments at the upper end
- A villa in the Diplomatic Quarter or a northern compound, or quarters within the estate; annual flights, private medical cover and indemnity
- Direct procurement input over the private clinical facility and its equipment pipeline
- Strict confidentiality throughout
Living in Riyadh
Riyadh is the political and financial capital of the Kingdom and the city where Royal Household medicine is most densely concentrated. Clinicians typically live in the Diplomatic Quarter, in the compounds of the north — Al Nakheel, Al Yasmin, Kingdom City — or in accommodation inside the household’s own estate; the Riyadh Metro, open since late 2024, and the King Salman Park and Sports Boulevard projects have changed the texture of daily life in ways most job descriptions have yet to catch up with. The city runs on a conservative professional rhythm, and clinicians who respect it are rewarded with a level of trust and continuity that hospital practice rarely offers. Our Riyadh guide for clinicians maps districts, compounds and commute realities.
How This Register Works
The Royal Court does not advertise. Mandates reach us through the bureau or the family office and are filled from this register, usually within weeks of the brief. Registering means you are already classified and verified when that happens — you are not applying to one advertised role.
