Medical Staff Talent

Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Physiotherapist to a private family in Doha, delivering one-to-one rehabilitation and longevity programmes from a dedicated private treatment suite.

The Mandate

A permanent, confidential appointment built on continuity rather than caseload. The remit covers musculoskeletal assessment, manual therapy, post-operative rehabilitation and ongoing performance and longevity programming for the Principal and immediate family.

Clinical Environment

A private treatment suite within the residence, equipped to specification. The appointed clinician determines the equipment schedule and the programme design; there is no institutional protocol to work around.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy from a Tier-1 UK or European institution
  • Registration in a Tier-1 UK or European system — HCPC, CORU, or an equivalent European regulator
  • Advanced manual therapy credentials and substantive one-to-one practice
  • Demonstrated discretion in confidential environments
  • Fluent English
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice

Package

  • £92,000 – £118,000 gross
  • Private furnished accommodation
  • Relocation arranged by the family
  • Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

The appointment is built on continuity rather than caseload: musculoskeletal assessment, manual therapy, post-operative rehabilitation and long-term performance and longevity programming for the Principal and immediate family, delivered from a private suite equipped to your specification. That last point is real — the clinician determines the equipment schedule and the programme design, and the household expects a considered view on both. Advanced manual therapy credentials are required because the standard of each session is entirely visible, and substantive one-to-one practice is required because there is no department to absorb variation. The physiotherapist who thrives here is precise, self-directed and comfortable with the quiet discipline of a private family.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £92,000 – £118,000 per annum — is a gross salary, agreed directly with the family and paid into the bank account of your choice. Take advice from your own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in your circumstances.

Accommodation and flights are provided in addition to base, which is what makes the net position so different from a UK or European salary: with housing and travel carried by the household, most of the base figure is savings capacity. Health insurance in Gulf contracts explains the cover clauses worth reading twice.

If you are leaving the UK part-way through a tax year, split-year treatment under the Statutory Residence Test usually applies; keep a day-count from the date you leave and take advice from an independent cross-border adviser; wealth preservation for Gulf clinicians sets out the planning points.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC gross package calculator or the Gulf package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Doha

Doha is compact, calm and well organised: West Bay and The Pearl for waterfront living, Lusail as the new city to the north, Msheireb’s restored downtown, Education City’s universities and a cultural offer led by the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum. Household appointments include accommodation provided by the family — private quarters within the residence — so relocation is about settling in rather than searching.

Winters are pleasant and outdoor; summers are hot and humid. Hamad International flies direct to London and the European hubs in around seven hours. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone — and the cultural adjustment guide covers the adjustments worth anticipating.

How we run this search

Every appointment of this kind follows the same discipline. It begins with a confidential briefing call with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, covering your clinical profile, your motivations and your readiness to relocate alone; nothing is written down that you have not agreed to share. Your qualifications, registration and references are then verified before anyone else is involved.

The household or its family office is briefed anonymously. Your name and documents are shared only with your written authorisation, first-stage interviews are held by video, and a final meeting is arranged in person — usually with travel organised by the household. Offer, NDA and contract follow. Our time-to-hire estimator shows how long each stage takes; the confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting pages explain how the household side is governed.
