Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Senior ICU & Critical Care Nurse to a private family in Doha, providing advanced mechanical ventilation and complex haemodynamic monitoring for a Principal within a private clinical suite.
The role sits within the household’s wider medical infrastructure, working alongside visiting consultants on acute and post-operative critical care.
The Mandate

- Acute and post-operative critical care coordination with visiting consultants.
- Continuity of care across shift and standby coverage as required by the household.

Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification from a Tier-1 UK or European institution, with current registration (NMC, NMBI or an equivalent European regulator).
- Minimum five years’ experience, including substantive adult intensive care practice.

- Fluent English.
- Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
- Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
- The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.
- Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care.
Package
- From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
- Private furnished accommodation and relocation arranged by the family
- Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability
Scope of Our Role
Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
What this appointment asks of you
Advanced mechanical ventilation and complex haemodynamic monitoring inside a private clinical suite is intensive care nursing in its most concentrated form: one Principal, a small permanent team, visiting consultants for acute and post-operative episodes, and the expectation that the nurse can run a ventilated patient’s care with the same precision as a tertiary unit but without the unit around her. Shift and standby coverage are part of the household’s rhythm, so the appointment suits a nurse who is comfortable with periods of intense activity and periods of watchful readiness. Five years including substantive adult intensive care practice is required; Doha’s household will also assess composure, documentation and the discretion that a private family demands.
Reading the package
Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment, and is paid without deduction: there is no personal income tax on employment earnings in Qatar, which is why a Gulf figure should never be compared line-for-line with a gross UK or European salary.
Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a tax-free salary walks through that arithmetic.
An end-of-service gratuity accrues for every completed year of service and is settled on departure — see end-of-service gratuity and repatriation for the calculation and the contract clauses that govern it.
Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.
Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.
Living in Doha
Qatar’s capital is the easiest Gulf city to navigate day to day — short distances, a modern metro, a Corniche for early mornings and a winter season of sport and culture — and the household provides accommodation within the residence for this appointment, which removes the main relocation variable.
Direct flights to London take around seven hours. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone — and the cultural adjustment guide covers what nobody puts in the offer letter.
How we run this search
Every appointment of this kind follows the same discipline. It begins with a confidential briefing call with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, covering your clinical profile, your motivations and your readiness to relocate alone; nothing is written down that you have not agreed to share. Your qualifications, registration and references are then verified before anyone else is involved.
The household or its family office is briefed anonymously. Your name and documents are shared only with your written authorisation, first-stage interviews are held by video, and a final meeting is arranged in person — usually with travel organised by the household. Offer, NDA and contract follow, agreed directly between you and the family. Our time-to-hire estimator shows how long each stage takes; the confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting pages explain how the household side is governed.
