UK and European trained private and maternity nurse caring for a newborn in a Gulf private family residence

Private & Maternity Nurse Jobs in Doha, Qatar

Private duty, maternity and critical care nursing appointments in Doha for UK & European-trained nurses, engaged by Qatari private families.

Qatar hires nursing slowly, and keeps its nurses longest

Doha’s private nursing market is small, deliberate and weighted towards single-family work: private family residences and permanent appointments built around continuity. Households take their time over a nurse, and they expect the nurses they choose to stay.

Where the Doha demand sits

Private duty for private families. Convalescent, post-operative and ongoing family health management within a private residence, governed by strict NDA. The nurse works to the family’s rhythm, not a ward schedule.

Maternity, newborn and paediatric care. Permanent appointments from the birth onwards, continuing into newborn and paediatric cover for the household’s children, delivered inside the residence with genuine continuity of relationship.

Critical care at home. Senior ICU-trained nurses engaged by a household whose principal needs high-dependency care without a hospital admission.

In Doha, the appointments that last are the ones built for continuity from the first conversation.

How a Doha nursing appointment is structured

Household nurses are introduced in pairs, never alone. Every Doha appointment is a permanent, live-in appointment with the family, with annual leave: two permanent nurses alternating daily shifts of 8 or 12 hours where round-the-clock cover is needed, who, once in post, travel continuously with the family across several countries. The model is set out in Permanent, Live-In and Travelling with the Family.

The contract is signed directly between you and the family. We introduce and verify; we are not the employer, and the introduction fee is paid by the family.

Local arrangements

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and you, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

Current nursing mandates in Doha

Each listing states its own gross remuneration. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. Our ongoing register for nurses in Doha is the standing brief we place against throughout the year.

Questions nurses ask about Doha

Why does Qatar take longer than the UAE?

Households decide deliberately and take their time over a nurse. The local arrangements, which remain with the family’s own office and advisers, also shape the timeline.

Who employs me?

The family. You sign directly with them. We introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.
