Senior Physiotherapist — Private Family, Dubai

Medical Staff Talent

Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Senior Physiotherapist to a private family in Dubai.

The work is one-to-one manual therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation in a dedicated private treatment room within the household’s residence. There is no caseload, no throughput target and no shared diary.

The Mandate

  • Discreet one-on-one manual therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
  • A private treatment room within the residential setting — no shared clinical space.
  • Direct continuity of care with a single household.
  • Clinical autonomy over programme design and progression.

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered Physiotherapist with current registration with your UK or European regulator, in good standing.
  • Minimum six years in manual therapy or musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
  • Trained in a Tier-1 UK or European healthcare system — UK, Ireland, or an accepted European jurisdiction — with current registration with your UK or European regulator, in good standing.
  • Fluent English.
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.

Package

  • £80,000 – £120,000 per annum, tax-free and paid net.
  • Private accommodation and flights included.
  • A rare posting inside a private family residence, bound by strict NDA.

What this appointment asks of you

The treatment room is private, the diary is yours, and the caseload is one household. The senior physiotherapist provides one-to-one manual therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation with full clinical autonomy over programme design and progression, coordinating with visiting consultants when a case calls for imaging or surgical input. The seniority of the post is reflected in the range of the package and in the expectation that you will bring a mature, evidence-led practice — advanced manual skills, a considered approach to longevity conditioning, clear communication with informed patients — and set the clinical standard for the household rather than follow one. Six years of substantive musculoskeletal work is the threshold; the household will want to see depth, not breadth.

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

Reading the package

Base remuneration for this appointment is £80,000 – £120,000 per annum, paid without deduction: there is no personal income tax on employment earnings in the UAE, which is why a Gulf figure should never be compared line-for-line with a gross UK or European salary.

Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a tax-free salary walks through that arithmetic.

An end-of-service gratuity accrues for every completed year of service and is settled on departure — see end-of-service gratuity and repatriation for the calculation and the contract clauses that govern it.

Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Dubai

The city is easy to arrive in and easy to leave from, which matters when a household travels as much as this one: Dubai International sits twenty minutes from most of the city and flies direct to London, Zurich, Athens and the main European hubs. Accommodation within the residence is provided by the family, which removes the one part of Dubai relocation that is genuinely difficult.

For days off there is the coast, the desert, the sporting calendar and a restaurant scene that is now among the best in the world. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone. Read the cultural adjustment guide for the unwritten rules.

What happens when you apply

The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no agency panel and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward — the appointment in detail, the household’s expectations and the life around the post — before anything is committed to paper.

From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and credential verification, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and a contract agreed directly with the family. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a physiotherapist appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side.
