Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent is appointing a Paediatric Nurse to a specialist family care unit serving a UHNW household in Dubai, delivering dedicated, high-fidelity nursing care within a residential clinical setting built around a single family’s long-term health infrastructure.
The Mandate
This is a confidential, private-duty appointment embedded within a family’s own care infrastructure rather than a hospital ward. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day paediatric clinical oversight, coordinate with visiting consultants, and maintain meticulous clinical documentation to institutional standard, all while preserving the calm, discreet rhythm expected within a private residence.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification from the UK, Ireland, or an accepted European jurisdiction
- Demonstrable paediatric or neonatal nursing experience at a private hospital or specialist unit
- Comfort operating within a private household environment, with the discretion and professionalism this demands
- Willingness to complete DHA licensing and relocate to Dubai
Package
- £53,000 – £63,000 tax-free per annum, liquid and paid in full
- Private furnished accommodation provided within or adjacent to the family residence
- Full relocation support, flights, and comprehensive private medical insurance
- Strict confidentiality and NDA-governed engagement
Licensing and Relocation
Medical Staff Talent advises you at every step of the DHA licensing pathway, including Dataflow primary source verification, so your credentials are confirmed and portable before you commit to relocation. We set out every administrative step in writing, from documentation through to your Dubai registration, so that nothing stalls a Gulf move for want of sequence; the licence itself is applied for by you and activated by the appointing entity.
What this appointment asks of you
A specialist family care unit built around one household’s long-term health infrastructure, and a paediatric nurse to run its day-to-day clinical oversight: assessment and management of the children’s routine and acute needs, coordination with visiting consultants, meticulous documentation to institutional standard, and the preservation of the calm, discreet rhythm that a private residence requires. Paediatric or neonatal experience gained in a specialist unit gives you the clinical reflexes; the unit asks you to apply them without a ward around you and with the family present as partners. Dubai’s household values punctuality, precision and the ability to explain a clinical decision to informed parents without either alarm or condescension.
Licensing sequence: DHA, Dubai
The regulator in Dubai is the Dubai Health Authority (DHA); applications run through the Sheryan portal and the route for this appointment is:
- DataFlow primary source verification of your nursing degree, current registration (NMC, NMBI or your European regulator), certificate of good standing and experience letters on institutional letterhead — typically four to eight weeks with a complete dossier.
- DHA eligibility assessment: Tier-1 registration with verified experience is generally exempt from the DHA assessment; where an assessment applies we tell you before you commit.
- Issue of the eligibility letter, then licence activation under the licensed private medical entity associated with the household, followed by the residence visa and Emirates ID.
- Household onboarding: NDA execution, accommodation, banking and the practical steps we coordinate with the family office before your first day.
With a complete dossier on day one we usually see DHA eligibility inside eight to twelve weeks. Our DHA licensing guide walks through each stage, registration versus licence explains why the eligibility letter is not yet a licence, and licensing for private residences explains how a household appointment is sponsored. Nurses should also read how NMC, NMBI and European registrations are treated.
Reading the package
Base remuneration for this appointment is £53,000 – £63,000 per annum, paid without deduction: there is no personal income tax on employment earnings in the UAE, which is why a Gulf figure should never be compared line-for-line with a gross UK or European salary.
Because accommodation, flights and health cover sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a tax-free salary walks through that arithmetic.
An end-of-service gratuity accrues for every completed year of service and is settled on departure — see end-of-service gratuity and repatriation for the calculation and the contract clauses that govern it.
Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling before the first salary lands; we introduce candidates to a cross-border adviser, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.
Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.
Living in Dubai
The city is easy to arrive in and easy to leave from, which matters when a household travels as much as this one: Dubai International sits twenty minutes from most of the city and flies direct to London, Zurich, Athens and the main European hubs. Accommodation for the appointment is provided by the family, which removes the one part of Dubai relocation that is genuinely difficult.
For days off there is the coast, the desert, the sporting calendar and a restaurant scene that is now among the best in the world. Families will want our Dubai districts and school catchments guide for catchments and commuting, the international school fees benchmark for fees, and the cultural adjustment guide for the unwritten rules.
What happens when you apply
The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no advertisement beyond this page, no agency panel, and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward — the appointment in detail, the household’s expectations, the licensing route and the life around the post — before anything is committed to paper.
From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and licensing check, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and contract before licensing fees are incurred. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side.
