The Dubai Market for Family Medicine Physicians
Dubai’s private-family mandates are for travelling family medicine physicians: a GP who holds continuity of care for the Principal and immediate family, provides everyday and preventative medicine at the residence, arranges specialist input across the city’s private hospitals when it is needed, and travels with the family — often through the Mediterranean summer. When you travel with the family, all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers. Credential Standard
Every physician on this register holds family medicine / general practice training — a CCT in General Practice or a recognised European equivalent — together with current UK or European registration in good standing and a practice history that stands up to verification. Families also look for readiness to travel at short notice and the confidence to work as the only clinician present. Credentials are verified at source before a profile is presented. Scope of Our Role
Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
Typical Package
- £218,000 per annum, gross, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid, and medical insurance covered (professional indemnity insurance is not included) on travelling family medicine appointments in Dubai
- Furnished accommodation within the residence and annual flights
- Travel days paid when the family moves
- Strict confidentiality throughout
The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
Living in Dubai
Dubai is the Gulf’s most internationally fluent city, and for a clinician relocating alone it is also the easiest to navigate. Private family residences cluster along the coast — Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and the Palm — and inland across Emirates Hills, Dubai Hills and Al Barari, and every appointment provides accommodation within the residence rather than leaving you to the rental market. Appointments are live-in and single-status; direct flights reach London in around seven hours, and the gross salary is paid into the bank account of your choice.
