Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Private Duty Nurse to a private family in Jeddah, providing paediatric and family continuity care within the private residence.
The role sits at the centre of the family’s day-to-day clinical care — close coordination with visiting paediatric consultants, calm continuity for the children, and absolute discretion throughout.
The Mandate
- Day-to-day paediatric and family nursing care within the household.
- Continuity of care across routine health management, minor acute presentations and coordination with visiting consultants.
- Close, confidential liaison with family members on care planning.
- Absolute discretion under NDA.
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification from a Tier-1 UK or European institution, with current registration (NMC, NMBI or an equivalent European regulator).
- Minimum five years’ experience, including substantive paediatric or family nursing.
- Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments.
- Fluent English.
- Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
- Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
- The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.
- Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care.
Package
- From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
- Private furnished accommodation and relocation arranged by the family
- Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability
Scope of Our Role
Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
What this appointment asks of you
The nurse sits at the centre of a family’s day-to-day clinical life in Jeddah: routine health management for the children, minor acute presentations handled calmly, medication and vaccination governance, and close coordination with the paediatric consultants who visit the residence. It is continuity care in the literal sense — the same nurse, present through the ordinary and the unexpected — and the household is choosing someone the children will know well. Paediatric or family nursing experience is the requirement; the qualities the interview will test are steadiness, precision in documentation and the ability to brief parents clearly and confidentially. The upper end of the range recognises breadth and seniority.
Reading the package
Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment, and is paid without deduction: there is no personal income tax on employment earnings in Saudi Arabia, which is why a Gulf figure should never be compared line-for-line with a gross UK or European salary.
Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a tax-free salary walks through that arithmetic.
An end-of-service gratuity accrues for every completed year of service and is settled on departure — see end-of-service gratuity and repatriation for the calculation and the contract clauses that govern it.
Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.
Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.
Living in Jeddah
Life in Jeddah is lived along the water: the Corniche, the marinas, the Red Sea reefs, and a restaurant scene that reflects the city’s history as the pilgrimage port and trading hub of the Hijaz. It is a softer introduction to the Kingdom than the capital, and household appointments here typically include accommodation within the residence, provided by the family.
Direct flights to London run daily and take around seven hours; Riyadh is an hour away. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone — and the cultural adjustment guide covers the adjustments that make the first six months easier.
What happens when you apply
The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no agency panel and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward — the appointment in detail, the household’s expectations and the life around the post — before anything is committed to paper.
From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and credential verification, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and a contract agreed directly with the family. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side.
