Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Private Duty Nurse to a private family’s principal in Riyadh, on a permanent live-in mandate built around continuity and geriatric care. The engagement is governed by a strict non-disclosure agreement.
The Mandate
Sole clinical continuity for an elderly Principal — chronic condition monitoring, medication governance, mobility and falls prevention, nutrition oversight and structured escalation to the attending physician. The appointed nurse is the constant in the care team.
Clinical Environment
A residential medical suite within a private estate, equipped to the standard of a high-dependency room. Visiting consultants attend the residence; the nurse coordinates that access and holds the clinical record.
Requirements
- Nursing degree from a Tier-1 UK or European institution
- Registration in a Tier-1 UK or European system — NMC, NMBI, or an equivalent European regulator
- Substantive geriatric, private duty or high-dependency experience
- Demonstrated discretion in confidential environments
- Fluent English
- Availability to start within six weeks of offer
- Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar
- The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice
- Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care
Package
- From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
- Private furnished accommodation within the estate
- Relocation arranged by the family
- Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability
Scope of Our Role
Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
What this appointment asks of you
The appointed nurse is the constant in an elderly Principal’s care team. That means chronic condition monitoring, medication governance, mobility and falls prevention, nutrition oversight and structured escalation to the attending physician, and it also means holding the clinical record and coordinating every visiting consultant’s access to the residence. The suite is equipped to high-dependency standard; the pace is that of a private estate. The household is selecting for geriatric, private duty or high-dependency experience combined with the temperament for a long relationship — patient, observant, unflustered by gradual change, and exact about documentation. Nurses who find satisfaction in continuity rather than turnover will recognise the value of this post.
Reading the package
Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment. It is a gross salary, agreed directly with the family and paid into the bank account of your choice. Take advice from your own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in your circumstances.
Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison takes in rent and commuting as well as your own tax position. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a Gulf salary walks through that arithmetic.
Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.
Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC gross package calculator or the Gulf package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.
Living in Riyadh
The capital rewards clinicians who arrive with a plan for their time off: the Diplomatic Quarter’s parks and restaurants, the compounds’ pools and sports clubs, Diriyah’s historic district, and a winter calendar of concerts, sport and exhibitions that did not exist a few years ago. Accommodation for a household appointment is provided by the family, within the residence, which removes the largest relocation variable at a stroke.
Direct flights to London take around seven hours; Jeddah and the Red Sea coast are an hour’s flight for a weekend. The cultural adjustment guide covers what nobody puts in the offer letter. Every appointment is single-status: the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone.
What happens when you apply
The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no agency panel and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward — the appointment in detail, the household’s expectations and the life around the post — before anything is committed to paper.
From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and credential verification, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and a contract agreed directly with the family. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side.
