Travelling Family Physician — Paediatric-Capable GP for a Young Family, Jeddah

Medical Staff Talent has been asked by a private family in Jeddah to introduce a UK & European-trained Travelling Family Physician comfortable caring for children. The household includes three young children and their parents, and the doctor is expected to be as comfortable with a febrile toddler as with an adult review.

Travel with the family between residences and abroad: summers in Europe, time on the family’s yacht and short-notice trips.

The Mandate

• Family medicine for parents and children: childhood illness, growth checks and immunisation records kept in line with the family’s schedule.
• Calm assessment of acute presentations at home, with clear thresholds for when a child needs a hospital.
• Working alongside the children’s nannies and any household nursing staff on medication and safety routines.
• Planning school-holiday travel with the children, including paediatric medicines and destination contacts.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• CCT in General Practice or a European family medicine equivalent, with substantive paediatric exposure (a paediatric rotation, child-health diploma or equivalent).
• At least 7 years of independent practice in UK or European general practice or family medicine.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European medical regulator.
• Paediatric life-support certification (APLS or EPLS) is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• £218,000 per annum gross, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid, and medical insurance covered (professional indemnity insurance is not included).
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
