We are exclusively recruiting a Private Physiotherapist to provide dedicated, one-to-one rehabilitative care for the principal. We are seeking a highly experienced, UK & European-trained specialist to oversee the client’s musculoskeletal health, delivering outcomes-focused therapy in a private residence in Dubai and aboard a private yacht during international travel.
Key responsibilities and clinical tasks
- Advanced MSK and manual therapy: deliver world-class musculoskeletal care with a strong emphasis on manual therapy and manipulation techniques to maintain mobility, manage chronic conditions and optimise physical function.
- Hydrotherapy management: design, implement and oversee specific hydrotherapy blocks and aquatic rehabilitation programmes as a core component of the client’s wellness routine.
- Clinical teamwork: serve as the Principal’s lead for musculoskeletal care, working closely with the household’s physician and with the family’s office, which arranges any specialist input.
- Travel and yacht accompaniment: accompany the client on business and leisure trips, ensuring continuity of therapy and medical support while travelling aboard a private yacht.
- Clinical governance: maintain meticulous, confidential clinical records to ensure patient safety, continuity of care and professional accountability.
Requirements and qualifications
Professional profile
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiotherapy, or equivalent.
- Experience: a minimum of five years of recent, post-graduate experience, specifically within MSK, sports medicine or orthopaedics.
- Language: fluency in English is required.
- Clinical expertise: proven advanced competence in manual therapy and manipulation is essential. Experience delivering hydrotherapy is mandatory.
Operational requirements
- Background: UK or European training and registration (UK, Ireland or an accepted European jurisdiction) is required.
- Flexibility: willingness to undertake extensive international travel.
- Discretion: the ability to operate with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality within a private family environment.
- Availability: availability to start within six weeks of offer.
- Complete flexibility: complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
- Mobility: the ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.
Compensation and benefits
The package is designed to attract top-tier talent:
- Salary: from £60,000 per annum, gross, depending on experience.
- Accommodation: high-quality private accommodation within the residence, and aboard when travelling.
- Annual leave: 30 days of paid leave per year.
- Travel coverage: all work-related international flights, transfers and accommodation fully covered.
- Contract: permanent, full-time, live-in appointment travelling with the family, contracted directly with the family, with annual leave.
- Onboarding: leadership-led induction and relocation arranged by the family.
The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.

Most physiotherapy careers are built on caseload. This one is built on a single body, tracked continuously, for years.
There is no discharge date and no next patient waiting. You hold the Principal’s musculoskeletal baseline across seasons — what the shoulder did last winter, how the lumbar spine responded to the last long-haul sequence, which loading protocol held and which quietly failed. Progress is measured in maintained function over years, not in outcome scores at six weeks.
The practical consequence is that your clinical reasoning is never externally audited by a colleague in the next cubicle. Manual therapy and manipulation must be precise because there is no one to correct a drift in technique, and hydrotherapy programming must be designed rather than inherited from a departmental protocol.
Dubai Ashore, Mediterranean at Sea
The appointment runs across two very different treatment environments, and the transition between them is the part candidates underestimate.
Ashore in Dubai you work from a properly equipped private treatment room with hydrotherapy access. At sea the treatment room moves. Equipment is what fits aboard, the surface is never quite level, and a scheduled hydrotherapy block may become a deck-based session because the sea state decided so.
