Travelling Family Medicine Physician — Prevention & Continuity Care, Abu Dhabi

Medical Staff Talent is introducing a UK & European-trained Travelling Family Medicine Physician to a private family in Abu Dhabi. A family in the capital wants its own GP who travels with them and runs a proper preventive plan for each member.

Travel with the family between residences and abroad: summers in Europe, time on the family’s yacht and short-notice trips. Six-day weeks and 24/7 availability are normal in Gulf household appointments, and the family plans around both.

The Mandate

• First-contact general practice at the residence for a small family panel.
• Individual prevention plans — screening, vaccination, cardiovascular and cancer risk — reviewed every year.
• Coordination of specialist and hospital care, with the physician as the family’s single point of contact.
• Medical preparation for each trip and on-the-ground cover while travelling.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• CCT in General Practice or an equivalent European specialist qualification in family medicine, with a strong preventive-care record.
• At least 8 years of independent practice in UK or European general practice or family medicine.
• Full registration, in good standing, with a UK or European medical regulator.
• Experience running recall and screening programmes in practice is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• £218,000 per annum gross, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid, and medical insurance covered (professional indemnity insurance is not included).
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
