Maternity Nurse Pair — Newborn & Post-Natal Care, Dammam

Medical Staff Talent is searching for two UK & European-trained Maternity Nurses for a private family based in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The family is expecting its second child and wants two maternity nurses to support the newborn and the mother while the older sibling settles.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two permanent nurses alternate daily 8-hour shifts, with on-call cover overnight. Availability 24/7 and a six-day week are part of the appointment, as is usual with private families in the Gulf.

The Mandate

• Newborn care: feeding, sleep and settling, bathing and safe-sleep routines.
• Post-natal care for the mother in coordination with her obstetrician.
• Helping the older child adjust to the new baby.
• Sharing routines with nannies so care stays consistent.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse or midwife trained in the UK or Europe, with substantial maternity, post-natal or newborn care experience.
• At least 5 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Midwifery registration or a newborn care qualification is valued.
• Fluent English and proven discretion in private settings.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
