Post-Operative Recovery Nurse Pair — Private Family, Jeddah

Medical Staff Talent is searching for two UK & European-trained Post-Operative Recovery Nurses for a private family based in Jeddah. A family member returning from orthopaedic surgery abroad needs several weeks of skilled recovery nursing, and the family wants the nurses to stay on afterwards.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two nurses alternate 8-hour shifts during the day and evening, with the night covered on call from within the residence. Availability 24/7 and a six-day week are part of the appointment, as is usual with private families in the Gulf.

The Mandate

• Post-operative recovery care: wounds, pain, mobility and medication.
• Working with the physiotherapist on safe mobilisation.
• Liaison with the surgical team and family physician.
• Continuing general nursing care for the family after recovery.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with surgical ward, recovery or post-operative experience.
• At least 5 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Tissue viability training is valued.
• Fluent English and proven discretion in private settings.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.
• The family arranges and pays for the visas needed for travel abroad.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
