One-to-one physiotherapy and osteopathy appointments in Dubai for UK & European-trained clinicians, retained by private families. Dedicated treatment rooms, single-patient programmes, and time measured against outcome rather than throughput.
Dubai asks something different of a physiotherapist
What a Dubai household buys from a physiotherapist is a standard of one-to-one delivery that high-throughput systems structurally cannot provide. For a senior musculoskeletal, sports or neurological physiotherapist leaving the NHS, private UK practice or a European equivalent, the change that matters most is rarely the package. It is the time.
What Dubai’s households are actually buying
One-to-one, uninterrupted. Dedicated treatment rooms and single-patient sessions. Clinicians arriving from twenty-minute slots and shared gym floors consistently describe this as the change that mattered. See how one household built it in Building a Private Physiotherapy Practice Inside a Family Residence.
Elite performance and longevity. Sports rehabilitation, longevity protocols and biomechanical work for principals and family members for whom recovery timelines carry real consequence. See Longevity and Elite Performance Physiotherapy.
Neurological, women’s health and post-natal rehabilitation. Specialist programmes delivered at home — the latter often alongside a maternity nurse. See Women’s Health & Post-Natal Physiotherapy.
Osteopathy beside physiotherapy. A growing number of households retain an osteopath alongside the physiotherapist for chronic pain and structural work. Why osteopathy sits beside physiotherapy explains the pairing.
Rehabilitation is the most under-specified function in a household’s medical programme. The households that build it properly are the ones worth joining.
How a Dubai appointment is structured
The models we see most in Dubai are Full-Time Live-Out with a treatment suite in the residence, Sessional or Retainer arrangements for a set number of sessions a week, Fixed-Term contracts around a surgical recovery, and Travelling appointments that accompany the family by jet or, in summer, on the Mediterranean. All seven are set out in Live-In, Rota or Travelling?
The contract is signed directly between you and the family. We introduce and verify; we are not the employer, and the introduction fee is paid by the family.
Licensing: the route we map with you
Physiotherapy in Dubai is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), after DataFlow primary source verification. HCPC, CORU or equivalent European registration is the starting point. Osteopathy is licensed differently across the three Gulf countries, and the title and scope available can be narrower than in the UK; we map that for your case before any introduction.
Care inside a residence is delivered through a licensed entity — see Who May Lawfully Treat Inside a Private Residence. A DHA licence does not transfer to Abu Dhabi. We map this route with you and guide you through it; we do not submit applications, process DataFlow or sponsor visas. Establish your position with the GCC Licensing Classifier.

Questions physiotherapists and osteopaths ask about Dubai
Can an osteopath work for a family in Dubai?
Yes, but osteopathy is licensed differently from physiotherapy and the available title and scope can be narrower than in the UK. We map the route for your registration before any introduction.
Are these full-time appointments?
Many are. Others are Sessional or Retainer arrangements for a set number of sessions a week, or Fixed-Term around a recovery. Each mandate states its model.
Who employs me?
The family, or its licensed entity. You sign directly with them. We introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.
