Geriatric & Dementia Care Nurse Pair — Private Family, Al Khobar

Medical Staff Talent is introducing two UK & European-trained Geriatric & Dementia Care Nurses to a private family in Al Khobar, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. An elderly family member with early dementia and heart failure is cared for at home, and the family wants two nurses to manage both.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two nurses alternate 8-hour shifts during the day and evening, with the night covered on call from within the residence. Availability 24/7 and a six-day week are part of the appointment, as is usual with private families in the Gulf.

The Mandate

• Dementia-aware nursing with consistent routines and gentle orientation.
• Management of heart failure: fluids, weight, medication and symptoms.
• Working with the family physician and cardiologist.
• Supporting relatives and household staff.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with substantial experience in older-adult and dementia care.
• At least 6 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Experience of palliative care at home is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Able to start within six weeks of an offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
