ICU Critical Care Nurse Pair — Home Care for a Private Family, Abu Dhabi

Medical Staff Talent is introducing two UK & European-trained ICU Critical Care Nurses to a private family in Abu Dhabi. A family member needs long-term critical care at home following a prolonged hospital admission, and the family wants experienced ICU nurses around the clock.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two nurses alternate 12-hour day and night shifts, with a handover at each change. The rhythm follows the family rather than a rota: a six-day week, with availability at any hour when needed.

The Mandate

• Critical care at home: ventilation or tracheostomy care, monitoring and medication management.
• Working to the plan set by the intensivist and the family physician.
• Early recognition of deterioration and clear escalation.
• Supporting family members who spend time at the bedside.
• Absolute discretion under a strict NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with adult intensive care experience, including ventilated patients.
• At least 6 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Experience of tracheostomy and home ventilation is valued.
• Fluent English.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Accommodation within the residence, entirely free of charge.
• A permanent appointment with annual leave; the contract is renewed each year between the family and the clinician.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
