PICU Paediatric Critical Care Nurse Pair — Private Family, Al Khobar

Medical Staff Talent is searching for two UK & European-trained PICU-experienced Paediatric Nurses for a private family based in Al Khobar, in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. A child in the family with a chronic condition needs nursing at home that would otherwise mean long hospital stays.

The family always employs two nurses so that care never depends on one person. The two nurses alternate 12-hour day and night shifts, with a handover at each change. The rhythm follows the family rather than a rota: a six-day week, with availability at any hour when needed.

The Mandate

• Complex paediatric nursing: ventilation support, feeding and medication.
• Rapid assessment and escalation when the child’s condition changes.
• Coordination with the paediatric specialists and therapists.
• Supporting the child’s schooling and family life at home.
• Strict observance of household protocol and the family’s NDA.

Requirements

• Registered nurse trained in the UK or Europe, with paediatric intensive care (PICU) experience.
• At least 6 years of post-registration experience.
• Comfortable working as one of two nurses alternating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with careful handovers.
• Experience of paediatric long-term ventilation is valued.
• Fluent English and proven discretion in private settings.
• Availability to begin within six weeks of offer.
• Able to relocate alone (live-in, single-status) and to travel anywhere in the world with the family, often at short notice.

Package

• From €5,000 a month.
• Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
• Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
• The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
• Fully free accommodation within the family’s residence.
• Permanent, with annual leave and a contract that is renewed every year.

Scope of Engagement

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
