A Royal Household in Abu Dhabi is seeking a UK & European-trained Physiotherapist for a permanent role within a discreet, purpose-built rehabilitation suite. The position covers one-on-one manual therapy and longevity protocols for family members and household staff alike, delivered to a standard of unwavering professionalism and precision.

The Mandate

Deliver one-on-one manual therapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation from a dedicated, purpose-built treatment suite inside the household. The role covers a small, private cohort rather than a hospital-scale caseload, with programme design and pacing set entirely by clinical judgement.

Requirements

  • Chartered Physiotherapist, UK & European-trained, with 5+ years’ experience in manual therapy or musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Current, unrestricted professional licensure in the home jurisdiction

Licensing and Relocation

What this appointment asks of you

The suite serves the family and, unusually, the household’s staff as well, which gives the caseload a little more variety than most residential posts: musculoskeletal maintenance for principals, occupational injuries among staff, post-procedural rehabilitation, and longevity conditioning delivered one-to-one from a purpose-built room. Programme design and pacing are entirely yours. The household selects for a chartered physiotherapist with precise manual therapy, a systematic approach to assessment and record-keeping, and the professional equanimity to treat everyone in the house to the same standard while observing the protocol that a Royal Household requires. Five years in manual therapy or musculoskeletal rehabilitation is the minimum.

Licensing sequence: DOH, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi licenses clinicians through the Department of Health (DOH) via the TAMM platform. For a residential appointment the sequence is:

  • DataFlow primary source verification of your physiotherapy degree, current registration (HCPC, CORU or your European regulator), certificate of good standing and experience letters on institutional letterhead — typically four to eight weeks with a complete dossier.
  • DOH evaluation of qualifications and experience: HCPC, CORU and equivalent European registrations are generally accepted at Tier-1, and we confirm the assessment position before you commit.
  • Licence issuance under the licensed private medical entity associated with the household, followed by the residence visa and Emirates ID.
  • Household onboarding: NDA execution, accommodation, banking and the practical steps we coordinate with the family office before your first day.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £49,000 – £59,000 per annum — is base remuneration, and it is paid tax-free: the UAE levies no personal income tax on employment earnings, so the number on the offer is the number that arrives.

Accommodation, flights and medical cover are provided in addition to base, which is what makes the net position so different from a UK or European salary: with housing and travel carried by the household, most of the base figure is savings capacity.
