Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Private Duty Nurse to a private family in Saudi Arabia, for a permanent, confidential role supporting long-term wellness and preventative care.

The Mandate

The position operates within a private residential compound, requiring discretion and total professional composure. A high-fidelity engagement suited to a nurse experienced in bespoke, one-on-one care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years’ private duty or wellness-focused care experience
  • Registration in a Tier-1 UK or European system (UK, Ireland, or an accepted European jurisdiction)
  • Strict NDA compliance
  • Fluent English
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice
  • Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care

Package

  • From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
  • Medical insurance is covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.
  • Flights and travel are always paid for by the family.
  • Private household accommodation
  • Relocation arranged by the family
  • Annual leave with flights home

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

This mandate sits closer to preventative medicine than to acute nursing. The family has invested in a longevity-led approach to health, and the nurse is the clinician who makes it work day to day: baseline monitoring, sleep, nutrition and activity oversight, medication and supplement governance, coordination of screening with the family’s physicians, and the patient explanation of results in plain language. You will need to be comfortable with data — wearables, periodic blood panels, structured tracking — and equally comfortable with the human side of a household that expects discretion in every interaction. The right candidate treats wellness work with the same rigour as a ward handover.

Reading the package

Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment. It is a gross salary, agreed directly with the family and paid into the bank account of your choice. Take advice from your own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in your circumstances.

Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a Gulf salary walks through that arithmetic.

Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC gross package calculator or the Gulf package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Riyadh

The capital rewards clinicians who arrive with a plan for their time off: the Diplomatic Quarter’s parks and restaurants, the compounds’ pools and sports clubs, Diriyah’s historic district, and a winter calendar of concerts, sport and exhibitions that did not exist a few years ago. Accommodation for a household appointment is provided by the family, within the residence, which removes the largest relocation variable at a stroke.

Direct flights to London take around seven hours; Jeddah and the Red Sea coast are an hour’s flight for a weekend. The cultural adjustment guide covers what nobody puts in the offer letter. Every appointment is single-status: the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone.

How the search is run

We run this search as a full-cycle search under a retained, confidential mandate. The first conversation is with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, and it is a briefing rather than a screening: what the appointment involves day to day, what the household selects for, and whether it fits the life you want. Your CV goes nowhere until you say so.

If you proceed, your credentials are verified, the household is briefed on an anonymised profile, and interviews run by video before an in-person meeting arranged by the family. Offer, NDA and contract are agreed directly between you and the family. The time-to-hire estimator gives realistic timings for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side of the process.
