Medical Staff Talent
Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists
Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Neonatal Nurse to a private family in Jeddah, providing specialist newborn care within a dedicated family care unit inside the residence.
The role manages a named infant rather than a corridor caseload, with close coordination with visiting paediatric consultants and calm continuity for the wider family.
The Mandate
- Specialist neonatal care for a named infant within the household.
- Close coordination with visiting paediatric and neonatal consultants.
- Calm continuity of care and confidential liaison with family members on care planning.
- Absolute discretion under NDA.
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification from a Tier-1 UK or European institution, with current registration (NMC, NMBI or an equivalent European regulator) and neonatal specialisation.
- Minimum five years’ experience, including substantive neonatal or special care baby unit practice.
- Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments.
- Fluent English.
- Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
- Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
- The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice.
- Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care.
Package
- From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
- Private accommodation within the residence and relocation arranged by the family
- Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability
Scope of Our Role
Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
What this appointment asks of you
A named infant inside a private family residence, a dedicated family care unit within the residence, and close coordination with visiting paediatric and neonatal consultants: this is specialist neonatal nursing delivered with the time and continuity a ward cannot offer. Feeding and growth, thermoregulation, infection control, medication precision, developmental observation and the calm education of parents and carers make up the daily work. Five years including substantive neonatal or special care baby unit practice is required because the nurse is the clinician on site. The Jeddah household values gentleness with the family, exactness in documentation and the discretion to be an unremarkable presence in a very private home.
Reading the package
Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment, and is paid without deduction: there is no personal income tax on employment earnings in Saudi Arabia, which is why a Gulf figure should never be compared line-for-line with a gross UK or European salary.
Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a tax-free salary walks through that arithmetic.
An end-of-service gratuity accrues for every completed year of service and is settled on departure — see end-of-service gratuity and repatriation for the calculation and the contract clauses that govern it.
Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.
Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC net position calculator or the Gulf net package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.
Living in Jeddah
Life in Jeddah is lived along the water: the Corniche, the marinas, the Red Sea reefs, and a restaurant scene that reflects the city’s history as the pilgrimage port and trading hub of the Hijaz. It is a softer introduction to the Kingdom than the capital, and household appointments here typically include accommodation within the residence, provided by the family.
Direct flights to London run daily and take around seven hours; Riyadh is an hour away. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone — and the cultural adjustment guide covers the adjustments that make the first six months easier.
How the search is run
We run this search as a full-cycle search under a retained, confidential mandate. The first conversation is with Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, and it is a briefing rather than a screening: what the appointment involves day to day, what the household selects for, and whether it fits the life you want. Your CV goes nowhere until you say so.
If you proceed, your credentials are verified, the household is briefed on an anonymised profile, and interviews run by video before an in-person meeting arranged by the family. Offer, NDA and contract are agreed directly between you and the family. The time-to-hire estimator gives realistic timings for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side of the process.
