UK and European trained private and maternity nurse caring for a newborn in a Gulf private family residence

Private & Maternity Nurse Jobs in Eastern Province

Private duty and maternity nursing appointments in Al Khobar, Dammam and the wider Eastern Province for UK & European-trained nurses, engaged by private families.

A small, private market that rarely advertises

Al Khobar and Dammam sit outside the mainstream Gulf nursing circuit, and the clients who recruit here are private families rather than hospital groups. Mandates are infrequent and most never reach a public listing: they fill from our standing register first.

For a nurse, that means the practical route into the Eastern Province is to be known to us before the appointment exists.

Where the Eastern Province demand sits

Maternity and newborn care. Permanent appointments from a birth within the household onwards, with a Private Maternity Nurse at the centre of the newborn’s first months. Our Private & Maternity Nurses practice sets out what these appointments cover.

Private duty nursing for private families. Continuity care inside a private residence in a secure residential sector, governed by NDA from first contact. We never name a household — before, during or after a mandate.

Coordination on the move. Families here move often between Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, and in summer onto Mediterranean yachts, and their nurses travel with them, coordinating care with the household’s physician.

In a market this small, the register is the job board. The nurses who are introduced are the ones we already know.

How an Eastern Province nursing appointment is structured

Household nurses are introduced in pairs, never alone. Every appointment is a permanent, live-in appointment with the family, with annual leave, renewed each year: two permanent nurses alternating daily shifts of 8 or 12 hours, who, once in post, travel continuously with the family across several countries. The model is set out in Permanent, Live-In and Travelling with the Family. The contract is signed directly between you and the household; we introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.

Local arrangements

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and you, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

Current nursing mandates in the Eastern Province

Each listing states its own gross remuneration. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. Given how narrow this market is, the Eastern Province nursing register stays open continuously.

Living in the Eastern Province

Every appointment is live-in and includes accommodation within the residence, inside the secure sector. What a Gross Package Actually Buys and the UK & European vs GCC Gross Package Calculator show what the package leaves you with.

Questions nurses ask about the Eastern Province

How do I get considered if nothing is advertised?

Register in advance. Most Eastern Province appointments fill from our standing register before a public listing is needed.

Is a maternity appointment permanent?

Yes. Maternity appointments are permanent, live-in appointments with the family, with annual leave, renewed each year, and continue into newborn and paediatric care.

Who employs me?

The household. You sign directly with them. We introduce and verify, and the family pays our fee.

What every family asks of you

  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer.
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar.
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family, often at short notice: every role is live-in and single-status.
