Private Duty Nurse — Private Family Residence, Dubai

Medical Staff Talent

Private Medical Recruitment for the Gulf | UK & European Trained Specialists

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Private Duty Nurse to a private family residence in Dubai. The engagement is permanent, live-in and governed by a strict non-disclosure agreement.

The Mandate

Continuity of care for the Principal and immediate family within a private residential setting. The remit covers daily health management, medication governance, coordination with visiting consultants and escalation when required. Composure and absolute discretion are conditions of the post.

Clinical Environment

A purpose-equipped residential medical suite within a private compound. The household operates a small, permanent clinical team; there is no rotational cover and no caseload beyond the family itself.

Requirements

  • Nursing degree from a Tier-1 UK or European institution
  • Registration in a Tier-1 UK or European system — NMC, NMBI, or an equivalent European regulator
  • Substantive private duty, ICU or high-dependency experience
  • Demonstrated discretion in confidential environments
  • Fluent English
  • Availability to start within six weeks of offer
  • Complete flexibility around the family’s calendar
  • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice
  • Nurses are always placed in pairs — two nurses alternating shifts — to protect continuity of care

Package

  • From €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment
  • Private furnished accommodation within the residence or compound
  • Relocation arranged by the family
  • Annual leave with flights home and long-term contract stability

Scope of Our Role

Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

What this appointment asks of you

Continuity is the operating principle: a small permanent clinical team, no rotational cover, no caseload beyond the family itself. The nurse provides daily health management for the Principal and immediate family, medication governance, coordination of visiting consultants and escalation when a presentation warrants it, all from a purpose-equipped residential suite inside a private compound. The tempo is measured and the standards are exacting; the household notices punctuality, documentation and manner as much as clinical skill. Private duty, ICU or high-dependency backgrounds all fit, provided you are comfortable being the clinician on site rather than one of many, and provided discretion is instinctive rather than learned.

Reading the package

Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment. It is a gross salary, agreed directly with the family and paid into the bank account of your choice. Take advice from your own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in your circumstances.

Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current net pay after rent, commuting and tax — not with your gross salary. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a Gulf salary walks through that arithmetic.

Your home-country tax position on departure — split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe — is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers.

Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC gross package calculator or the Gulf package estimator; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview.

Living in Dubai

The city is easy to arrive in and easy to leave from, which matters when a household travels as much as this one: Dubai International sits twenty minutes from most of the city and flies direct to London, Zurich, Athens and the main European hubs. Accommodation within the residence is provided by the family, which removes the one part of Dubai relocation that is genuinely difficult.

For days off there is the coast, the desert, the sporting calendar and a restaurant scene that is now among the best in the world. Every appointment is single-status — the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone. Read the cultural adjustment guide for the unwritten rules.

What happens when you apply

The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no agency panel and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward — the appointment in detail, the household’s expectations and the life around the post — before anything is committed to paper.

From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and credential verification, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and a contract agreed directly with the family. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household’s side.
