Consultant Paediatrician — UHNW Family, Dubai

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Consultant Paediatrician to a UHNW family in Dubai, providing one-to-one continuity care for the children of the family from a private clinical suite within the residence.

The remit spans routine and preventative paediatrics, acute presentations, and the coordination of Dubai’s paediatric sub-specialists and hospitals when an episode requires them — with the family’s physician holding the thread throughout.

The Mandate

• One-to-one continuity paediatric care for the children of the family: developmental surveillance, immunisation governance and acute presentations within the residence.
• Coordination of visiting sub-specialists, diagnostics and hospital episodes across Dubai’s private paediatric centres.
• Clinical oversight of the family’s paediatric nursing team and travel medicine planning when the family is abroad.
• Absolute discretion under NDA.

Candidate Requirements

• CCT in Paediatrics, or an equivalent European specialist certification, from a Tier-1 UK or European institution.
• Minimum seven years post-certification consultant-grade practice, including substantive general and acute paediatrics.
• Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments.
• Fluent English.

What this appointment asks of you

A single family, a small number of children and a physician who is present rather than on call. The consultant runs the children’s medicine end to end: development, immunisation, the acute episode handled in the residence where it safely can be and referred without delay where it cannot, and the standing relationship with the parents that makes candid advice possible. Dubai’s paediatric sub-specialists and hospitals provide the tertiary setting when it is needed; the family provides the continuity, and it expects the consultant to travel with the children when the household moves for part of the year. Seven years of consultant-grade practice with substantive acute paediatrics is the threshold; the family will look for warmth with children, precision with parents and unflinching discretion.

Licensing sequence: DHA, Dubai

Dubai licenses clinicians through the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) on its Sheryan platform. For a residential appointment the sequence is:

• DataFlow primary source verification of your primary medical degree, specialist certification (CCT, CCST, Facharzt or the equivalent European fellowship), current registration, certificate of good standing and experience letters — typically four to eight weeks with a complete dossier.
• DHA eligibility assessment: Tier-1 specialist certification generally exempts you from the DHA assessment, and consultant-grade eligibility follows the verified CV.
• Issue of the eligibility letter, then licence activation under the licensed private medical entity associated with the household, followed by the residence visa and Emirates ID.
• Household onboarding: NDA execution, accommodation, banking and the practical steps we coordinate with the family office before your first day.

How the package is structured

The figure quoted above — £260,000 – £340,000 per annum — is base remuneration, and it is paid tax-free: the UAE levies no personal income tax on employment earnings, so the number on the offer is the number that arrives.
