Physiotherapist Jobs Abroad by Country: Private Family Roles in the Gulf

By David Vilchez, Founder & CEO, Medical Staff Talent

Private families in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar ask us for sports and manual therapy physiotherapists trained in the UK and across Europe. What counts is where you trained and that your registration there is current, not your nationality. This page gathers our guides by country of training, so you can read about the role from the starting point of your own education and career.

Every role is permanent, live-in and single-status: you relocate alone, live in private accommodation provided by the family and travel with them continuously across several countries, with annual leave. Physiotherapists are offered from £60,000 a year gross, depending on experience, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid and medical insurance covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included.

Alongside the sports physiotherapy guides, our European Country Guides explain private family practice in the Gulf for clinicians trained in each country. New guides appear here as they are published.

The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
