Private & Maternity Nurses
Newborn Care Specialists, Maternity Nurses, and Critical Care Nurses — exclusively for Private Families across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar — and with the family across Europe and on international travel. Every appointment asks three things of the clinician: availability to start within six weeks, complete flexibility, and the ability to relocate alone and travel with the family at short notice.
Medical Staff Talent places UK and European-trained nurses in Private Duty Nursing of the highest standing. Every nurse we introduce is matched for clinical skill, household etiquette and absolute discretion — placed under strict confidential routing, never through a hospital ward roster.

The Mandate
- Newborn Care Specialists & Maternity Nurses — expert neonatal care, infant sleep routines, and dedicated postpartum recovery support for the mother and household.
- Critical Care Nurses — 24/7 residence cover by nurses in pairs on daily shifts, advanced ICU/PICU management, complex geriatric care, and travel with the family, including Mediterranean yachts (see how households staff medical cover in transit).
Nurses are never placed alone: every nursing mandate is staffed by a pair of permanent nurses alternating daily shifts of 8 or 12 hours, often alongside physiotherapy and physician staff, to give a principal continuous, undisrupted cover. Every appointment is a permanent, live-in appointment with the family, with annual leave, as set out in the permanent, live-in model private families use for their clinicians. Once in post, the nurses travel continuously with the family across several countries. Each appointment is scoped before a search opens.
Who We Serve
Private Families in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, including live-in appointments and travelling cover for principals moving between their residences and, in season, Mediterranean yachts. Family offices can review how a private duty nurse mandate is structured and how the confidential hiring process runs.
Standards We Require
- UK or European nurse training with an active, verified registration in the country of qualification.
- Qualifications, registration and employment history verifiable at source.
- Demonstrated neonatal, critical care, or private duty experience matched to the specific mandate — household etiquette and single-patient case management, not ward-based nursing.
- Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement and operate under strict confidential routing — standard on every household mandate.
Compensation and Package Structure
Private duty nursing for a private family is paid well above institutional bands because the nurse lives in and is appointed for one principal, or one child, rather than a ward. Packages start from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment; they are gross salaries. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. Every package includes free furnished accommodation, flights and travel always paid for by the family, and medical insurance covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included. The shift pattern, travel expectations and on-call structure are agreed in writing before an offer is made.
Our 2026 nursing salary benchmarks set out the bands by market, and the UK & European vs GCC Gross Package Calculator shows what a gross package actually leaves you with once in-kind benefits are accounted for.

The Appointment and Local Arrangements
The private families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone: every role is live-in and single-status. This is a permanent, live-in appointment with the family, with annual leave. Once in post, you travel continuously with the family across several countries; flights and travel are always paid for by the family. Nurses are always placed in pairs — two permanent nurses alternating daily shifts of 8 or 12 hours — to protect continuity of care. Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does private duty nursing for a private family involve?
Single-patient care inside a private residence rather than a ward: continuity for one principal, one newborn or one elderly family member, coordinated with the household’s physician and physiotherapy staff. The clinical standard is that of an ICU or neonatal unit; the setting and etiquette are those of a private home, and everything is covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
Do private duty nurses work alone?
No. Nurses are always placed in pairs — two permanent nurses alternating daily shifts of 8 or 12 hours — often working alongside physiotherapy and physician staff, so that a principal has continuous cover without a single nurse carrying a 24-hour burden.
How much do private duty nurses earn in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar?
Packages start from €5,000 a month gross, depending on the appointment, with free accommodation, flights and travel paid, and medical insurance covered; professional indemnity insurance is not included. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances.
Will my NMC, NMBI or European registration be recognised?
A current UK or European registration is the entry requirement for every mandate, and we verify it at source before any introduction. Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians; all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family’s own office and advisers.
Is travel part of the role?
Yes. Once in post, the nursing pair travels continuously with the family across several countries, between residences and, in season, aboard Mediterranean yachts; flights and travel are always paid for by the family. Travel expectations are agreed in writing before an offer is made.
Can I apply together with a nursing colleague?
Yes. Because nurses are always placed in pairs, you are welcome to apply together with a trusted colleague whose clinical background complements yours. Each of you should send your own CV and mention the other’s name in your application.
Is the role single-status, and how do I apply?
Every appointment is permanent, live-in and single-status, with annual leave: each nurse relocates alone and lives within the family’s residence. To be considered, send your CV in confidence through our secure form at medicalstafftalent.com/send-us-your-cv/.
